Too Faced Melted Kisses Review and Swatches!

Hello everyone! Today I’ll be reviewing the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick Set, Melted Kisses, that is limited edition for Holiday 2014. I just got this in the mail last week, and I wanted to hurry and post this review, because it is already out of stock on Sephora.com, but is still available on Too Faced’s website.

The formula of these is nice, it is very lightweight and thin, but pigmented. These all have a cream finish, and all of these shades are gorgeous.

The one issue I have with these is the staying power. While they don’t fade quickly, they aren’t as long-wearing as other liquid lipsticks that I own.

All of these shades are permanent shades, so you can pick up a full size of these shades if you love one of them. This set is $25, which I think is an extremely good value considering that a full size of one of these costs $21.

Onto the shades!

This is Melted Nude. This is a good fall nude. It’s a little more brown than I personally prefer in a nude, but it’s still very pretty.

This is Melted Peony. I absolutely adore this shade. I think this is a great everyday shade, and I think it would look especially nice in the Spring.

This is Melted Fuchsia. This is a super vibrant bright pink. I love it!

This is Melted Berry. I wish I hadn’t filmed my Top 10 Fall and Winter Lipsticks video until after I got this in the mail, because this definitely would have been in it!

Overall, I think this is a great set, and I recommend you grab it before it’s gone!

Saturday Sightings, 10/18/14!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week!

Spotted at Walgreens: New Maybelline Great Lash Real Impact Mascara

Spotted at CVS: L’oreal Extraordinaire Limited Edition Wild Collection Display

A little note about this one- I think that these are all shades that already exist in the Extraordinaire line; it is just the packaging that is different. I’m not positive about this, and if I am able to verify it I will update this post, but  I recognized several shades from the permanent line, so I’m assuming they are all permanent shades.

Have you seen anything new at your local drugstores?

October Ipsy Glam Bag!

image

Hello everyone! Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts about the October Ipsy Glam Bag!

Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that sends out 4-5 beauty products every month! If you’re interested in joining, you can do so via my referral link here

This month’s theme is Beauty Candy, which I don’t think is appropriate for Fall or October at all! I was hoping for something Halloween or Fall related! I think this theme would be better for the Spring, so I’m kind of confused why it’s October’s theme!

Let’s get into the bag!

image

The first product in my bag is the Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths. This is definitely something I’ll use, but it’s not a terribly exciting item. It is a good sample size, though, with 10 Cleansing Cloths included.

image

The next thing I got in my bag was this Ayres Body Butter. Again, it’s a product I’ll use, but it’s not very exciting.

image

The next thing I got is this H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment. While I wouldn’t have purchased this on my own, I am excited to try it.

image

Next up is this Jesse’s Girl Baked Eyeshadow in Ocean Breeze. This is pretty, but it has a very dry texture and it looks patchy when swatches (I haven’t yet tried it on my eyes).

image

The last thing in my bag is a sample of Starlooks Lip Gloss in Guilty Pleasure. I’m not a huge lip gloss fan (I prefer something more pigmented), so this is a miss for me.

Overall, I’m not thrilled with this month’s bag; there is nothing in this bag that really excites me. At the same time, it’s not a bad bag. I think whether or not you like this bag really depends on preference, but for me it was a miss.

Milani Bedazzled Collection Lipstick Review and Swatches!

image

Hello everyone! Today I’ll be reviewing the three limited edition matte lipsticks that Milani has released with their Bedazzled Collection.

First of all, Milani has stated that they will be releasing a full line of matte lipsticks for 2015 (that will be a part of their permanent collection), but it’s unclear whether or not these LE shades are a preview of what’s to come.

I’m not a huge fan of the packaging of these. The shade name is on the white barcode sticker on the cap and no where on the actual product, which I don’t like. If you remove the sticker or it wears away you will have no idea what the shade is called! I hope this will not be the packaging for Milani’s permanent matte lipsticks.

The formula for these is quite nice, and I would not be disappointed if this was the formula for the upcoming permanent line of matte lipsticks. They are on the drying side, but they are intensely pigmented and feel lightweight on the lips, as well as being very long-wearing, so I don’t mind them being a little bit drying.

The last thing I wanted to talk about is the scent. These smell exactly like Mac lipsticks (only the fragrance isn’t as strong), which I love. I hope this scent sticks around for Milani’s new mattes!

I think these shades are all gorgeous, and I’m so glad I was able to find them. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for this collection in your area!

Milani Constellation Gel Liner Review and Swatches (Bedazzled Collection)

image

Hello everyone! Milani recently released a Limited Edition Bedazzled Collection, with the main product being three glittery gel eyeliners called Constellation Gel Liners.

I had to hunt this collection down, and when I finally found it I was only able to find one of the shades of Constellation Liners, Enchanted Emerald. I was so sad that I could not find the other shades! Anyway, here is a closer look and review of Enchanted Emerald!

image

Here is a close up of the liner with and without flash. As you can see, there is a glitter overspray on top of the liner, but the glitters also are dispersed through the product.

image

Here is what the liner looks like swatched. The top swatch was taken from the top of the liner (with the glitter overspray) and the bottom swatch is the liner without including the glitter overspray. The look is very similar, but the top swatch is obviously more glittery. I absolutely love this color!

image

Unfortunately, the formula just isn’t that great. The top photo shows the swatches freshly applied. I then waited a half hour and wiped my fingers across them, showed in the bottom photo. As you can see, they easily wiped away.

This eyeliner just doesn’t set! Even when I set it with a powder, it’s still pretty smudgy.

I am glad that I have this eyeliner for my collection and I will still continue to look for the other shades, but I probably won’t use it as an eyeliner. I will most likely be using this as an eyeshadow base or in a smoky look.

Have you found the Bedazzled Collection? What do you think of the Constellation Gel Liners?

Wet n’ Wild Halloween 2014 Balm Stains!

image

Hello everyone!

Today I’ll be reviewing two of the three Limited Edition Balm Stains that came out with Wet n’ Wild’s Limited Edition Halloween Collection for 2014.

The third Balm Stain in this collection is a golden nude color, and I couldn’t find it anywhere! I absolutely love the shades that I did find though, and I really wish that Wet n’ Wild would make them permanent.

I love the Balm Stain Formula. I think they’re long-wearing and hydrating. They are also nicely pigmented (and I find these LE shades to be even more pigmented and buttery).

This is 2AM Call Time

These shades are perfect for Fall and Halloween, and I love them! If I had to choose my favorite thing from the Halloween collection, these Balm Stains would definitely be it!

Keep an eye out for these in your local drugstores! If you would like to see what the display looks like (it’s huge!), check out my Saturday Sightings Page; there is a link on my sidebar!
